Why do I need one?

It is a legal requirement that an EPC has been commissioned prior to offering the property to the market for sale or let

You now have 7 days rather than 28 to make sure that you have secured an EPC. You can obtain a 21 day extension, to secure the EPC, if you can demonstrate that ‘reasonable steps’ are being taken to obtain the EPC

Failure to comply can result of a fine to the Landlord or the Landlord's agent which can be £200.00 per property
